College Basketball Odds: Ben Ten Tournament Paves Way for March Madness

It’s been the talk of the college basketball betting world all season long. Now the Big Ten will look to crown a 2013 champion. Not only will the four-day tournament shed light on the conference power battle in general, but also on the upcoming March Madness bracket that fans have been waiting for all year long.

In the top spot heading into the weekend is an Indiana Hoosiers club that’s been looking to live up to expectations and justify hype all season. While Cody Zeller hasn’t exactly fit the bill as the top player in the nation, the emergence of Victor Oladipo as a legitimate threat in any aspect of the game has fans and critics alike reconsidering putting their money on the No. 2 nationally ranked program.

The Hoosiers, of course, are joined by a handful of equally dangerous contenders with first-round byes. Michigan State at No. 10, Ohio State at No. 14 and No. 22 Wisconsin will all wait patiently for the victors of the first set of clashes.

Most notably lacking a bye in the initial round of games are the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines who’ve had significant odds of winning the March Madness tournament all season. Unfortunately for coach John Beilein and company, losses to a handful of Big Ten clubs, formidable and not-so-formidable, will force them to come from behind if they want to take home conference honors.
